This is a compilation of live footage from the Rolling Thunder Revue, a unique tour that took place from 1975 to 1976, in which the group made semi-guerrilla appearances at small venues.
The group led by Dylan included a diverse range of artists, including Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, Mick Ronson (known for David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust), T Bone Burnett, Sam Shepard, Bob Neuwirth, Rob Stoner, and even Scarlett Rivera, a gypsy violinist whom Dylan scouted on the street, as well as writer Allen Ginsberg.
Ginsberg did not participate in the performances, but considering that Dylan has now won the Nobel Prize in Literature, this may not have been so unusual.
This is the best quality video available, digitally remastered footage of the outdoor live performance in Colorado on May 23, 1976, and includes Japanese subtitles and a bilingual version of the live performance broadcast in Japan.
Additionally, there are 11 tracks from a concert at a hotel in Florida on April 22nd of the same year.
10 tracks from the 1975 North American tour from "Renaldo And Clara," a road movie that captures the whole picture of the Rolling Thunder Revue.
3 tracks from a studio live performance from the US TV show "John Hammond Show" on September 10th of the same year, with the performance of "Hurricane," a song about boxer Rubin Carter who was framed for murder at the time but protested his innocence, being a rare highlight.
