It is no exaggeration to say that SCHOOL GIG was the title that attracted the most attention in 2023, and it has been reborn!
The vocals can be heard clearly and clearly! It's at a level that you can understand immediately after listening to it.
This work has been carefully restored based on Disc 2 of the EVSD edition, which is currently said to have the best quality among fans, and has succeeded in bringing out the vocals.
No matter which master I listened to, there was a lot of noise, but by converting it to monaural, I was able to significantly reduce that noise.
I also corrected the tape speed, which was slowing down as the tape progressed (because the recorder was battery-powered).
Using spectrum analysis, we were also able to reduce the sound of the air conditioner in the listening room where this tape was recorded.
Since the frequencies below 250hz were almost dead, I compensated for the missing frequencies by choosing a performance on the BBC from around the same time.
Now Paul's bass and Ringo's drums are better.
Of course, it has almost no effect on performance.
Please enjoy the live performance at the fresh Stowe School, which has been reborn through these meticulous restoration efforts.
The student who was recording was in the middle of the third row and could not go to change the tape, so the live performance was only recorded halfway, so two more songs were played: Sweet Little Sixteen and Long Tall. Sally is recorded from Star Club.
